Online Order Policy
Please ensure that the billing address entered at checkout is the same one your bank has on file for your credit card.
Please Note: Due to the increasing volume of dishonest people and scammers, your order will be cancelled and refunded if it is flagged fraudulent by our payment system.
Please ensure your address is correct before the order is submitted. HardHatGear is not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses caused by user error.
Order Processing
Once your order is placed, our team will work hard to fulfill your items quickly. Most items ordered before 1PM CST (Monday-Friday) will ship the same day if they are in stock at our Ozark, Missouri fulfillment warehouse. Occasionally, we will need 2-4 business days to process and ship your order. Some items will ship directly from the manufacturer.
We will email you an order confirmation once we receive your order. Please double check your items to ensure accuracy. Because we try out best to fulfill orders quickly, please call us immediately at (417)581-8665 if you need to make changes or cancel your order. Once an order ships, we are unable to cancel or change your items.
HardHatGear tries to maintain accurate inventory, however, we do occasionally find discrepancies. We will notify you via email if any part of your order may be delayed due to backorders or canceled due unavailable merchandise. We apologize for this inconvenience and work hard to ensure that our website is up-to-date and reflecting our current stock levels.
Shipping Options
HardHatGear is happy to offer free shipping on all orders over $99 within the continental US.
Other paid shipping methods available include:
- USPS First Class Mail
- USPS Priority Mail
- USPS Priority International Mail
- UPS
- FedEx
- DHL
If you are having items shipped to a jobsite, or to a location that does not have a mailbox, please contact us at (417)581-8665. These orders must be shipped via FedEx or UPS.
HardHatGear does offer international shipping. Due to customs, we are unable to guarantee that your order will not incur additional fees. There are restrictions on some products and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
Express Shipping
If you need to expedite your order, please select FedEx Express or UPS 2-Day or next-day air. Please keep in mind that FedEx Express, UPS, and DHL DO NOT pick up or deliver on the weekends. If you place an order for overnight shipping on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, your package will not arrive until Tuesday.
Some express orders may require a processing time of 2-4 business days. Shipping times begin the business day after the label is created. We try our best to ship out expedited orders the same day and will update you via email once your order has shipped.
International Shipping
HardHatGear is proud to offer international shipping to select countries. We ship via DHL, UPS i-Parcel, or USPS International. Customs, duties, and taxes are not included unless UPS i-Parcel is chosen. The buyer takes fulls responsibility for any fee associated with getting the order across the border.
Shipping Time frames
Shipping times listed at checkout are estimates and HardHatGear is not responsible for packages being delayed by the mail carrier. Transit delays may be caused by a variety of things such as: weather, customs clearance, an increase in shipping demand-to name a few.
- If shipping via UPS or FedEx, orders placed after 1PM CST will not be shipped until the next business day. This also includes holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, 4th of July, etc.)
- FedEx and UPS DO NOT pick up on the weekends.
- FedEx and UPS DO NOT count 'pick up day' as a business day. For example, if you choose 2-day shipping and it was shipped Monday, your package will not arrive until Thursday.
HardHatGear is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We are unable to refund, resend, or compensate for items that have been lost, stolen, or misplaced once they leave our facilities. We do offer Route Shipping Protection for a nominal fee to protect you in these instances. Only orders with this additional protection purchased are eligible for refund or replacement if they are lost or stolen in transit. If you live in an apartment, please consider contacting the shipping carrier (FedEx, UPS) after the item has shipped to coordinate picking up your items at their facilities).
Return Policy
If there is a problem with your order, please contact us immediately so we can promptly resolve it for you. Any damaged or missing items must be reported within 3 days of delivery by calling (417) 581-8665.
HardHatGear accepts returns on most items within 30 days of delivery. Refunds will be issued for the full amount of the merchandise minus any shipping charges we have incurred on your behalf if our free shipping method was used.
Merchandise must be returned in unused, new condition in the original, undamaged packaging. Boots that are returned without the original shoebox, or if the shoebox is taped (including the shipping label), will have a 10% restocking fee deducted from the refund amount.
Except in cases where the return is the result of a shipping error or the item arrives damaged or defective, original shipping charges are non-refundable. In the event of an exchange, reshipping fees equal to the original shipping charges will be required. HardHatGear is not responsible for return shipping charges in case of exchange or return.
Refunds for online orders will go back to the original payment method.
HardHatGear is not responsible for return shipping costs unless it was an error made on our end.
Return Instructions
Please include the following with your return or exchange:
- Packing slip or order number
- Reason for the return, or if an exchange is needed, the item or size you are wanting to exchange for

Boot Returns & Warranty
For returns, boots must be in new, never worn condition.
Please do not tape or write on shoe boxes. Wrap the box in paper or plastic before affixing the return shipping label.
Boots returned in a shoe box which is not the original or has been taped or written on will be assessed a 10% restocking fee.
We follow the manufacturer's warranty policy for each brand. If you think your boot may fall under a warranty claim, please contact us so we can discuss the next steps. Warranty claims have a turnaround time of 3-4 weeks.
Unless specified by the brand, boots do not come with a comfort guarantee.
Special Orders and Custom Items
Special Orders will now require a 50% down payment.
Custom made products cannot be returned.
HardHatGear reserves the right to request valid identification prior to accepting merchandise for a return. HardHatGear reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of certain merchandise at any time and for any reason. HardHatGear will only accept the return of merchandise purchased from HardHatGear. Purchases made with a Customer Agreement must be returned to the same location in which it was purchased.
*Big Bill Seconds flame-resistant clothing cannot be returned or exchanged. All sales are final.*
